CHALLENGE
Kiama Municipal Council approached us with a familiar challenge – refresh their traditional, portrait-format report. But we saw an opportunity to challenge the status quo, reimagining their report as a dynamic, digital product with messaging that better aligned with their strategic priorities.
The Council’s existing format was limiting both in design and user engagement. They needed a solution that was modern, accessible, and capable of meeting the needs of their diverse stakeholders and audience.
OUTCOME
By asking the right questions early, we uncovered the project’s underlying goals and guided the Council toward a sophisticated, landscape-format digital report designed specifically for online viewing and enriched with interactive features. The new format delivers a far more intuitive user experience, with smart navigation that allows readers to move seamlessly between sections and access the information most relevant to them.
Accessibility was significantly enhanced, enabling the report to reach a broader audience, including visually impaired users. A considered information hierarchy, combined with well-crafted infographics, brings clarity to complex content while elevating the overall visual experience.
Equally important was the delivery process. Through clear communication and structured project management, the Council experienced a smoother, more streamlined workflow than in previous years, reinforcing confidence in both the process and the final outcome.
