The WillyLitFest is a popular local cultural event focussing on literature, drama and writing which presents emerging writers and literary figures.
An exciting event with big ambitions, and with 2013 marking their 10th year, the festival committee agreed that their current brand lacked direction and clarity.
Twelve Creative were called upon to help. Following an audit and analysis phase, our insights indicated that the festival need to better communicate the soul of the brand – a fun event that offered something for everyone.
We created a new logo featuring a smiley emoticon, symbolising the festival’s pursuit of delighting the audience. The playful look of the new identity represents the festival’s commitment to be an approachable, friendly and fun event for all its stakeholders.
Guidelines were developed to help explain the brand system and ensure that it remains intact. We also created a festival program, banners and a range of other printed collateral. A new website was also designed and will be launched in 2014.
‘Thanks so much for your input, clarity of vision, design skills and understanding of our mission. We are very happy with the result.’ Helenka King, Secretary, Williamstown Literary Festival
